If anyone in the PT has calculated the percentages, I would be very interested in reading the results.

Thank you.

Hi Anekdoten,

I am not sure if I am embarrassed or delighted to say that I have never checked, at least in the past year what percentage of my correct trades have been longs or shorts.

It is even more interesting that in the first couple of years of trading I had compiled all kinds of stats.

Maybe I have not done that because I truly feel that I have arrived at a place in my trading career where I have very little market bias. I really want to follow the market wherever it leads.

There are days when I really have not turned on the news until later in the afternoon, like yesterday, when I found out they were worrying about a strange odor in NYC and I commented that it was the Giants and Jets returning from their playoff losses.

I do have one big stat that definitely calls my attention. I am making money trading now and I was losing years ago.

We do post all of our trades so I am sure a person who has a spreadsheet can copy, sort and analyze our calls. I am just not sure I would want to know. It might turn out that most of my successful trades are longs. If so, I may not have taken all the good short trades today.

I would be more interested to know how I am doing during different times of the day, because I truly believe the market exhibits different characteristics at different times of the day.

Successful trading,
Alw
