As a general rule, we
do not like to place low probability trades during the lunchtime
doldrums, or
"dead zone", which occurs between 11:45 A.M. EST and 1:45 P.M.
EST. The exceptions would be near perfect trading
setups where there is some uncharacteristically high volume ("sneaky
lunchtime buying" right near the beginning of dead zone, for
example). We recognize that some of our clients want to be
alerted when all signals fire. If we are in the trading room and a
trade fires we will call it. But those trades will not be part of our official
track record. Here are a few ideas, and fun distractions that
will keep you
from getting bored and possibly over trading during the
lunchtime doldrums. We normally will take a break during this time
frame.
