An Introduction and a Challenge

I’m Alex Wasilewski, the CEO and founder of PureTick.com. I am also the head trader of our YM room and I feel fortunate that after years working in a variety of fields such as accounting and law enforcement – to name just a few – I am now fortunate enough to spend my days doing what I love best: calling trading calls and mentoring and coaching members of the Puretick community. I also love to share stories and I’ve written several books during my lifetime (including my new eBook). I am thrilled today to be launching the Puretick blog.

You can expect to hear from me as part of this blog, and you’ll also hear from some of our PureTick Specialists, our Mindset Coaches – and at times, members of the PureTick community. The topics we’ll cover will include insights regarding trading methodology, perspectives on recent market trends, tips and insights for how to become a more effective trader, stories about trading bloopers (everyone needs a bit of humor!) and more. Our goal initially is start posting at least once a week, and ramp this up to at least 3 times a week.

Today, I want to kick things off a bit differently. First, I want to celebrate the many PureTick members that have reported, “record earning days” these past few weeks. I love to hear that. Trading includes a lot of ups and downs and those wins are what make all the hard work worth it. So congratulations and keep up the good work!
Also, for those of you that know me, you know that my methodology is based around taking advantage of the less fortunate traders out there – those traders that are less dedicated, less disciplined and frankly just less experienced – and are struggling to do it all on their own without coaching and a community. It’s the nature of the market to prey on those that are less evolved in order to survive and thrive.

However, being a good trader means you’re paying attention to where and how you’re showing up in all other parts of your life. Trading is a tough business and can be hard on one’s psyche. So, for all you “PureTick predators” out there, I would like to pose a challenge to you today.
Today, consider some ways that you could give back. What do you value most in your life? What are you passionate about? Do you have kids? Do you appreciate the arts or music? Are you involved in your local community and wish you were most involved? Or maybe you sympathize with the victims of the recent hurricane. For me, I care about animals. My pets are what give me joy everyday. In recognition of this, I am going to give to the Alaqua Animal Refuge – www.aarflorida.com.

Today’s Challenge:
This week, consider donating either time or $$ to your favorite charity or something that would give you joy to support. What will you give back to today?
NOTE: If there are topics that you’d like us to cover or if you have feedback about the blog, we always welcome your comments.
