Reaching New Altitudes
Hello fellow traders!
It’s been an incredibly busy week, as many of you know. Our adventures took us on a cross-country trip to the great Northwest, where we kicked off a week of mini-mentorships and our first Puretick “Winning at Day Trading Event” in Seattle, WA.
I can’t tell you how much fun Reven and I had – getting the chance to trade side by side with you Pureticker’s and see you all in action! We all know how isolating trading can be and there is nothing like being face to face with you all. Thank you all for traveling far and near to attend.
It was a real boost to see the PureTick community in action. In fact, what I was most struck by, sitting around that table for two days – was how different each and every trader is! Everyone has his or her own style.
This brings up a controversial debate: Should traders at this stage of the game have their own style? Shouldn’t I, as head trainer, demand that traders “unlearn everything” and let them build up a trading style from the ground up? This will not bring a quick answer from me but require more thought.
Traders brought a few great ideas out at this Trader’s Conference. One interesting idea involved devoting more time to traders who need additional education. Another idea covered helping traders make a gradual transition from a current career into the world of trading. This may require a separate “education” room. Whatever it takes — I promise to do what I can to help.
We also had a blast introducing the Halo Partners and PureTick team and methodology to an entirely new community in Seattle. Even though we only started planning this event about a month ago, we got 36 people in the room – including people who came from Puyallup and Medina, WA, Missouri, Vancouver B.C., Glendale and Sacramento, CA, Houston and Dallas, TX – and even my own backyard in Florida.
The energy in the room was amazing and what I know for sure is that there is a thriving community of traders out there that are hungry for more. One of my goals is to attempt to bring more of this kind of communal energy to the PureTick trading room.
We’re already talking about doing another event on the East Coast. We’re tossing around location ideas – such as Atlanta or NY. So, let us know if you have suggestions. We’d love to give more of you the opportunity to do mini-mentorships with us in person – and we hope to keep diversifying the PureTick community.
Here are a few photos from the Seattle event if you’re interested in checking it out. You’ll see that we unveiled our new PureTick “character” at the event, which was a lot of fun! In fact, congratulations to PureTicker Frank Roth who won the naming contest for Mr. Tickster!
I appreciate everyone’s support this past week and I look forward to seeing you in the trading room!
